The Georgia Department of Driver Services allows driving schools to become certified third-party test facilities. It’s very convenient and can save hours of waiting at the DDS.
Who can take an on-site road test at Drive Smart Georgia?
To be eligible for the on-site road test, students must complete our 30-hour on-site class, a Zoom class or our online program and at least 6 hours of in-car driving lessons at our driving school, per Dept. of Driver Services regulations.
Note: Upon passing the road test, you will have to go to the Department of Driver Services to present a certificate verifying that you have been tested by a third-party examiner and passed the road test. They will review all necessary documents and issue the photo license.
There is an expedited line to do this at the DDS.
