Unfortunately, the answer is no with the exception of one reason.

If you're taking the course for both license reinstatement and points reduction, the DDS allows this one exception and click HERE for more details.

The Department of Driver Services requires us to specify the reason you are taking the course on your certificate of completion, and we can only select one (with the one exception mentioned above) .

However, you can take the course again in the future for a different reason.

There is no limit to how many times you can take the course, except for points reduction, which is only allowed once every five years. For more information, check out our help center article: "How often may I take a Defensive/Driver Improvement course for points reduction?"
